The Making of Ash

Why we built a tee around the word that comes after fire.

Ash isn't the end of something. It's what's left when everything unnecessary has burned away. That's the idea we kept coming back to when we designed the Ash Tee — not destruction, but reduction. The stripping down to what actually matters.

The colorway came first. We wanted something that felt like the morning after — that particular grey that isn't quite black, isn't quite white. The color of a fire that's done its work. We sampled twelve different fabric washes before we found the one that felt right. Heavy enough to carry weight. Soft enough to feel like something you'd reach for on a hard day.

Not destruction. Reduction. The stripping down to what actually matters.

The print placement was the last thing we locked. We tried the chest. We tried the back. We tried a sleeve stamp. None of it felt honest. In the end, we left it almost bare — just the word, small, over the heart. Because that's where the real work happens.

Ash is for the ones who have been through it and are still here. Still standing. Still choosing to show up. This piece is for you.
